Night of the Goddess 2020-08-09T12:35:36+00:00

The Goddess is alive and Her magic is aglow!

Come celebrate the cosmic manifestation of Shakti in this gloriously colorful and devotional all-night event. In this spectacular and joyful celebration of the Divine Feminine, we will pay homage to Her creativity, infinite variety in Nature, life-giving abundance, and role as the ultimate tantric consort.

Agama will celebrate the Divine Feminine on campus, which manifest the beauty and abundance of Maha Shakti. This celebration will bring us to the spontaneity of the presence, welcoming creativity and joy of the feminine energy into our spiritual practice and strengthen the Agama community by fostering sharing and connection.

The Night of the Goddess aims to:

  • Celebrate the Divine Feminine Energy, Maha Shakti
  • Experience different aspects of the feminine energy as a spiritual practice towards evolution
  • Building a stronger Agama Community by using the Agama Enlightenment Hall as a Temple of the Goddess bringing the yoga aspirants closer to each other

The Night of the Goddess activities:

  • The night will start with Bhajans to venerate the Maha Shakti at 6 pm
  • A powerful series of meditations will follow, in which we get to meet the ten aspects of the Divine Feminine, the so-called Mahavidyas. Every meditation is inspired by a short introductory speech by Swami about the specific cosmic power.
  • Throughout the evening there will also be opportunities to show your gratitude and worship of the Divine Mother; through the offering of candles, incense and flowers and through your own inner meditation and contemplation.
  • The meditations will be until about 9 or 10 pm.

The Night of the Goddess location:

The celebration will take place on our Main Campus, in our main yoga hall, the Enlightenment Hall.

Community participation in the event:

All of Agama’s festivals and celebrations are for the Community, and are therefore mainly organized by the Community. These events are opportunities for the Community to come together and create something beautiful and inspiring for all of us to share. By participating hands-on in the preparations and cleanup, you invest energy and enthusiasm into the event, which naturally allows you to feel more connected and part of the whole celebration. Many Agama students continuously affirm that if they invest themselves into these events, they receive a much more profound experience during the celebration itself. As always, when you pour your heart into something, the rewards are tremendous.

This is why we invite everyone in the Agama Community who feels inspired, to be part of the creation process. The event and all the participation are organized by our Event Coordinator. If you feel like participating as a Karma Yogi contact the Event Coordinator and apply to help with the celebration.

Enjoy a fresh mango and coconut for breakfast, take a Yoga class, relax on a hammock with an ocean view, and save a massage for the afternoon. These are just a few ways to spend a perfect day on the beautiful island of Koh Phangan in Thailand, where Agama is located. Nature is constantly blessing Koh Phangan with blue skies, breathtaking sunsets and short, refreshing rain showers to cool down the tropical weather.

Agama is the pioneer of Yoga on the tropical island paradise of Koh Phangan, Thailand. The school was founded on the island in 2003 by Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, a Yogi for over 30 years who has dedicated his life to teaching an authentic form of Hatha Yoga in a modern scientific approach.

Agama believes that there should be a bridge between spirituality and rational thinking, and classes are taught accordingly. The teachings are easy to implement in daily life and are often adopted immediately by students.
