Discover the Mahavidyas and connect with the fundamental forces of the universe within yourself
Enrich your Tantric and Yogic practice using powerful methods for developing resonance with the 10 aspects of Shakti
Accelerate your spiritual progress and opening toward the supreme reality
In the Mahavidya Yoga Series, you will gain a profound connection with each of the 10 fundamental forces, energies, and aspects of the universe in which we exist; each represented by an exquisite and pristine cosmic goddess. Practicing with the Cosmic Powers can be one of the most beautiful, rewarding, and spiritually inspiring paths in Tantric Yoga.
Each Mahavidya module explores one Cosmic Power over the course of a month:
Kali- The goddess of time and transformation
Tara- The goddess of knowledge and compassion
Tripura Sundari- the goddess of beauty, divine will and desire
Bhuvaneshwari- the goddess of space and cosmic illusion
Tripura Bhairavi- the goddess of spiritual action and effort
Chinnamasta- the goddess of electricity and spiritual sacrifice
Dhumavati- the goddess of dissolution and the cosmic void
Bagalamukhi- the goddess of irresistible force and defeater of spiritual enemies
Matangi- the goddess of divine expression and the arts
Kamalatmika- the goddess of prosperity
The Mahavidya program, one of the spiritual pillars of the Agama Yoga teachings, represents the heritage of one of the greatest Tantric traditions of India, the Kaula lineages. While this precious treasure that Agama has inherited is partly expressed through our teachings about sexual Tantra, Mahavidya Yoga brilliantly complements the other side of the Tantric tradition- teachings which can be compared only to the Tibetan Tantric tradition of Deity Yoga.
Each Mahavidya Yoga course lasts 5 days, with three hours of class and practice from 17-20:00, Bangkok time. . Course content will include lectures, exercises, meditation, Yoga, group discussions, workshops, and more.
Each course of the series can be taken individually. Courses can be taken in any order.
Once all ten Cosmic Power modules have been completed, a student can join the Mahavidya Outro Course.
Pre-requisites
To join the Mahavidya Introduction Course, you must have successfully completed level 1. Before enrolling in the first course the Mahavidya Introduction Course must be completed. The Introduction course gives you the general understanding of the Mahavidyas as a whole. You will learn all the necessary techniques, especially the practice of Laya Yoga Meditations to successfully attend in the Mahavidya workshops. Those teachings have been recorded over a period of many years and you will receive the link to watch the best of those recordings of about 5 hours of intense teachings. Afterwards, there will be a scheduled QnA session on Zoom and simultaneously in presence for people on the island.
Students of the previous Agama Yoga course curriculum:
Students who have already paid for level 5 and 6 (thus received the Introduction to the Mahavidyas and the Fundamental Key videos) in the old curriculum can attend the Intro Module with a discount. Attendance of the level is not relevant, only the payment of those levels.
A student can only join the Outro Module if they have either received all the Mahavidyas in the old curriculum, or received all of the Mahavidyas partially in the old curriculum and partially in the new module format (so, in total, all of them)

As scholars acknowledge, the Tantric traditions of India and Tibet have evolved from the blending of pre-existing local shamanic roots (Dravidian in India and Bön in Tibet) with the more metaphysical teachings of the Vedas in India and Buddhism in Tibet. Thus, the Tantric tradition, whether Indian or Tibetan, has always had a somewhat shamanic character, which in a nutshell means that it personifies and contacts the forces of nature. The Mahavidya tradition consists of the most powerful of these Tantric – shamanic – traditions of India. Here the 10 fundamental forces, energies, and building blocks of the universe in which we exist are personified in the form of 10 exquisite, pristine goddesses (Shaktis), and we can meditate upon, contemplate, visualize, worship, invoke, contact, and identify with these rare Cosmic Powers.
While some people may be turned off by this kind of spiritual work, considering it too provocative either due to an extreme of religious fundamentalism or atheism/ agnosticism, for others endowed with natural devotion this form of Yoga is beneficial and valuable, providing exactly the method needed. It is for this reason that in Agama Yoga, starting with the new and improved version of our teachings, the Mahavidya program – which was previously embedded in our regular curriculum – has now been set up as completely independent and parallel teaching modules and initiations. In this way people who are fascinated by this side of the Tantric tradition can become intensively involved at the earliest possible opportunity in their training, while those who prefer other teachings may put their efforts into other practices and leave this tradition for another day.
For those who choose to study and practice Mahavidya Yoga, spiritual practice becomes alive via the personified knowledge of the forces of the universe. Exactly as the sun salutations can be performed by referring to the sun as a certain vibration and frequency of energy or alternatively as a friend, in a similar way in one’s Yoga practice a yogi can interact with vibrational forces of the universe or with devis as great cosmic mothers, protectors, helpers, and friends. It is a well-established fact in Tantric spirituality that those who have the right frame of mind benefit a lot from this type of Yoga, and Agama is proud to be the steward and heir of such a remarkable Tantric tradition. Through it, some of our students greatly accelerate their spiritual progress and their opening toward the Supreme Reality.
